Licea kleistobolus G.W. Martin

Type loc.: Austria, Oberösterreich, Hallstatt.

Sporocarps scattred or in small groups, hemispherical to ± globose, ca. 0.1-0.2 mm Ø, shiny ochraceous, with circular, slightly paler lid, which is not sunken in moist sporocarps.

Inconspicuous, not seen.

Peridium thin, membraneous, ± smoky by TL, with refuse matter on the outside, lid circular, devoid of granular matter, smoky by TL, with ± globose protuberances on the inside, less than 1 µm high, and with scattered, irregular nodes, ca. 1-2 mm Ø, darker than membrane, looks like small aggregations of tiny globules.

Spores pale smoky by TL, ochraceous by RL, thin-walled, appearing ± smooth with scattered groups of small warts, the groups may be quite large, globose, 10-11.9-13.5 µm Ø (n=25).

On litter of nedles and twigs from Juniperus communis ssp. nana; developed in moist chamber.

Unknown. So far only one find.

The description is based on the only find from Greenland: hfg 2646, Greenland, Arsuk Fjord, Kuutsaat (Ellerslie Havn).
